What happens when you call
A person answers, whatever time it is. We will ask what you are looking at, how much water there is and whether it is near anything electrical, and we will tell you what to do in the next few minutes while we get somebody moving.
A technician is dispatched on the call rather than a message being taken until morning. We are at your door within 45 minutes anywhere in the GTA. Before anyone arrives we will tell you who is coming and roughly what time, so you are not opening the door to a stranger in the middle of the night.
On arrival we assess the source and the category of water, map the moisture with meters and thermal imaging, and start extraction. Everything is photographed and logged from the first hour, because that record is what an adjuster needs in order to approve the work without argument.
If it is an emergency, do these first
- Stay out of the water if it is near outlets or the panel. Call Toronto Hydro: 416-542-8000
- If you smell gas, get out of the house first. Enbridge: 1-866-763-5427
- Sewage coming up? Stop using toilets and sinks, and report it on 311.
- Take photos before you move anything. Your adjuster will want them.
Who turns up
Delta24 Restoration is a professional restoration contractor serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Our technicians are certified by the IICRC, the industry standards body for the restoration trade, in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD). We are WSIB cleared and carry full commercial general liability insurance. Certificate numbers and a current clearance certificate are provided on request, and property managers and adjusters routinely ask for both before we attend.
We work to the IICRC S500 standard for water damage restoration and the S520 standard for mould remediation. Every job is documented with daily moisture readings, photographs and a written scope, which is why adjusters approve our work without delay.
Asbestos work is carried out to Ontario Regulation 278/05, which sets out the procedures for Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 operations. Mould work finishes with written post-remediation verification, which is the document a buyer, a lender or an insurer will ask to see.
