Start with your broker
Pembridge sells only through a network of independent brokers, and says the best place to start a claim is your broker. Report it as soon as you can, even if you do not have all the details yet. Your broker and the claims staff can often advise on stopping further damage.
Pembridge is backed by Allstate Insurance Company of Canada, and its Ontario claims line is the same number as Allstate’s.
Sewer Backup and Overland Water
Pembridge’s Sewer Backup coverage covers water escaping from or backing up out of sewers, drains, sump pumps or septic tanks. Overland Water covers overland and fresh-water flood and the unusual, rapid build-up of ground and surface water. They are separate coverages, so a storm that brings water both ways can fall under both.

Pembridge offers Pro Contractors who are on call 24 hours a day. If you would rather use a contractor you have chosen, tell your broker and the claims team at the start. We send the written scope, readings and photographs to both.
